We would like to extend a giant "Thank You" to all of our Customers and Neighbors who made this Valentine's Day a  successful Holiday for Antheia Floral Design.  Modern rectangles of heart shaped anthurium with calla lilies, romantic blooms of fragrant garden roses, and sweetly composed nosegays accompanied by sweets from Cocoa Bakery were among the favorites this year.  Year after year, the most popular items were our lush and velvety red roses, or"roses on steroids" as described by one of our customers.  

Though the excitement of Valentine's Day is over, we are gearing up for another busy year of Weddings and Events.  This is the "Exciting" part... (drum roll, please...  Antheia Floral Design will be shifting our focus on our future events.  Event design will become our primary focus and we will be phasing out the day to day retail aspect of the shop.

Don't be alarmed, Antheia Floral Design will still be offering arrangements to all of our customers for special Holidays, accomodate special requests and continue service to our clients with whom we hold accounts.  We promise to keep you up to date with all of our specials.

We have had a wonderful year at the store,  creating beautiful special occasion flower arrangements, making many Brides' visions of a gorgeous Wedding Day come true, and crafting simple pick-me-up bouquets to lift your spirits and put a smile on your face.   Boy, are we tired !

Experiencing the first magical snow day of the season reminded me of one of my favorite weddings of this year.  The bride carried a bouquet of snowy white dusty miller, brunia berries, seeded eucalyptus, accented with several white cymbidium orchids and softened with white feathers for a dreamy, ethereal look.

Jules and Vincent were married at the Englewood Women's Club in June.  Deep purple blooms, succulents and rich foliage were arranged together to create an earthy, playful vibe.

For awhile, brides were something less traditional then wedding white, this year it is back, and more romantic than ever. 

White Hot Love. Part 1.  

Liz & Steve Simonelli wanted a clean, classic, romantic look.

 Baskets of white hydrangea plants lined the steps to the Altar for the ceremony, and were later planted in the Church's garden.

An antiqued mercury glass vessel filled with flowering branches and white blooms greeted the guests at the Escort Card Table.   (right) 

Set at  each dinner table,  was a clean centerpiece of hydrangea and fragrant Juliette garden roses. 

My favorite detail of the day were "Reserved for Mr. & Mrs. Simonelli" signs  marking the couple's seats. The ivory spray rose bouquet was later used as toss bouquet.
